It’s Here! So I’ve been primped and preened within an inch of my life to be ready for this day. I’ve experienced a type of Facial that I hadn’t had before involving Microdermabrasion, Ultrasound, Biolift, Thermotherapy, Cryotherapy and LED. My Skin has never felt cleaner, lighter or tighter. What a great base for my Wedding Make Up. After the Make Up trial in the Chichester Salon it was interesting that I actually changed my mind and totally took Ellies advice on Style. She has been involved with 100’s of Weddings in Sussex, so has experience, yet, I felt that everything was bespoke, just for me. I’m astonished that I didn’t.
So the stress has really set in, the dreams of walking down the aisle naked! And everything in my dream being so out of my control and all going wrong. So the massage part of the Wedding 6 week countdown has come at the most perfect time! I have never had a massage before, so I was a little nervous about what to expect, but Ellie was so kind, she talked me through what to expect and asked me all about how my back was feeling and what parts of my back took the strain. Ellie explained that it would take 30 minutes, and to be honest, with all the.
Week 4 It’s the 14 day count down now! I have to say, this has been the most amazing 6-week countdown to the big day, I feel like I have been treated like a princess, nerves have not started yet, but I am sure this time next week, I will be stressing! I am now on my third facial, of the course I had. I cannot believe how much my skin has changed, how clear it feels, I don’t need to wear as much make-up on a daily basis, and lots of people are commenting on how ‘bright’ I look. My skin doesn’t seem as sensitive either. The facial was focussed.
Almost the blushing bride… not long to go! I’ve just had my second facial and practice make up for the big day… which is now just around the corner, with 3 weeks to go!! So the plan of attack was to deeply moisturise my face, the facial was so relaxing, and I know I will be keeping my little beauty rituals up after the wedding, we just don’t treat ourselves enough anymore! There are so many different types of facials, to suit whatever skin you may have. The one Ellie at Toucan Beauty in Chichester used is based around ultrasound. The process heated up my skin and opened up all.
Week 5… not long to go! A week on since my Dermaco Facial and my skin has been the best it has EVER been! I always cleanse my skin, but it feels really clean, and pure. I know by keeping this up, my skin will be radiant on the day. I have tried so hard on the ‘little to no alcohol’ front but to be honest, I have failed somewhat, and there is no way I am not drinking next week at my hen do! I think the girls have some crazy shenanigans planned! (god help me) Mind you, I have upped the ‘get fit’ regime, and trying to walk.
Six weeks until the big day! I cannot believe there are only 6 weeks until the big day, at the beginning of September, I will be marrying the man of my dreams. When Tristan and I met 3 years ago, I just knew he would be the person to spend the rest of my life with. My mother always said, when you know, you know! When he proposed, down on bended knee in the middle of a restaurant, after the initial shock, embarrassment, and the total excitement, the ‘organiser’ in me went straight to the thoughts of when, where and how! I have spent so much time and energy on.
That’s The Spirit… Being independent in business has so many fantastic advantages to it, you are master of your own destiny, you make the rules, but often it can be a lonely place too, which is why I am a huge believer in collaborating with other independent businesses in Chichester. By pulling together, we can create a very strong force. I also believe that part of running your own business, you have a morale obligation to be involved in the community that surrounds you and support it, especially with Toucan Beauty as we are very much a community hub in Donnington, Chichester. One project we are involved with, is Look.
Many people for many centuries have been seeking the fountain of youth, how amazing would it be to turn back time. A fountain so powerful, the water that flows is water of healing and eternal youth. Well, I am unsure if this fountain exists (wouldn’t it be lovely if it did) but I have however found a product called Organic Facial Elixir Oil from Tropics, that through a blend of natural plant extracts puts harmony back into your skin tone, giving noticeably smoother and more youthful skin in just 4 weeks! The 2 key ingredients to this very luxurious oil is Organic Kiwi Seed, it is a highly nourished moisturiser,.
Talking about the weather is certainly a British tradition, but people who live in countries that have ‘stable’ weather or all year round sunshine just wouldn’t understand. As I am sat writing this blog, it is mid June, and around 18 degrees outside. This is not the type of weather to be sat outside getting a suntan. No wonder 58% of Brits decide to head to sunnier destinations in the summer months. The problem I find is, because of our unpredictable weather, we find it hard to get a ‘little glow’ before we head off on our holidays, so we don’t reflect the sunlight and give everyone a fright by.
I do find it fascinating how our eating habits really do change from winter to summer, and I don’t know about you, but I always feel I gain weight through the winter, eating those comfort foods! I have recently read it’s all about the hormones, those little things do have a lot to answer for! In an article in the Daily Mail, this is what Dr Perry Barnett has to say on the matter: ‘In spring and summer, levels of melatonin decline, but in autumn and winter levels of melatonin increase,’ says Dr Perry Barrett at Aberdeen University, whose research specialises in seasonal weight gain in mammals. ‘This hormone acts.
